NEW YORK — Following months of training Garrett Neff was set to run the 2012 ING New York City Marathon only to have the 26.2 mile jogging jamboree canceled due to a certain Category 3 storm, the worst of 2012. One year later the iconic model was invited to run in the November 3 race, which he accepted and has since wasted no time in improving his already excellent fitness. For this year’s race Garrett is seeking to raise money for the Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation, the oldest and largest charitable organization in the U.S. dedicated to the care of children with cancer and blood disorders. On an early morning in Madison Square Park, ahead of a day of training, Garrett speaks about his charitable efforts, all that running, and how viewers can help.
