PARIS — Monday concluded with the Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2014 runway show, which featured Manon Leloup and Elisabeth Erm (both at Wilhelmina New York). Since presenting his debut ready-to-wear collection for the house last season, Fausto Puglisi has significantly raised the label’s profile. One notable manifestation of this growth was a nearly doubling of the runway footprint at 11 rue de Chateaubriand in the 8th Arrondissement. The collection for spring also carried with it a certain swagger, which at turns was downright seductive. Manon’s first look, a skintight suit in black and white, oozed sex appeal, which is the minimum price of entry when Prince’s “A Love Bizarre” features as a collection’s finale soundtrack. After all, that is in fact what we are, namely that we all want a love bizarre.
