Fact is, a suspension of disbelief is not required to imagine Soo Joo in a dank club in the Bowery, circa 1981 — Soo Joo’s street cred makes it believable. Titled “Wild Thing,” the story photographed by Robbie Fimmano and styled by Miguel Enamorado, pictures Soo Joo in five punk-inspired, “skater-boy” silhouettes. The backdrop might be shredded playbills, but the styling is high fashion by way of Christopher Kane, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry Prorsum, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, and more. Soo Joo, wild thing, effortlessly bridges the two worlds, imbuing both with a fist-pumping, oi, oi, oi authenticity.
