Inspired Creation Contest- featuring Wilhelmina Denver model, Bonnie Pierce

Posted on:- 15 June, 2010

Wilhelmina Denver model Bonnie Pierce was recently featured in a fun wedding blog that teamed up with several Denver wedding and special event vendors to create a fun and personal wedding theme. The group, which included A Touch of Bliss, Bella Fiori, Makeup by Janine, and Revert Photo, came up with a look that centered around objects that had been found around the couple's own home, and also took inspiration from things that they love to do together.

Starting with a collection of crisp, white Jonathan Adler vases, the team then created a cheery color wheel and combined brightly colored fabrics to contrast against the sleek vases. Drawing inspiration from a notable collection of coffee mugs, the team took the couple's love of  cozily drinking coffee together, and translated it into an easy DIY project that resulted in the fanciful, coffee stained escort cards. The theme didn't stop at the decor; it also seeped into the bride's apparel. She wore a unique, white linen dress with an asymmetrical ruffle to bring texture to her look, and accessorized with a capiz shell necklace that reflected the couple's love of the outdoors. Looking around your own home for ideas to jump start your wedding planning is not only budget-friendly, but is one of the best places to find inspiration that will be true to your own style, ensuring that you have a very personal stamp on your big day. Even if your home isn't decorated exactly the way you want, it still most likely reflects a style or feeling that suits you. From something as small as vases, mugs, or pastimes, everyone can find something that will allow them to finally pin down the look that they want to center their wedding around, giving their day a fresh and distinctive touch.
