In the eighteenth issue of the outstanding men’s biannual Fantastic Man, photographer Collier Schorr undertakes an ambitious 65-page project shot over four days and in two different studios in New York. Lofty as it sounds, the brief is quite simple and is meant to serves as “a concise proposal of contemporary men’s fashion for all those, male and female, who wish to wear it.” Titled “Workshop,” the Jodie Barnes-styled editorial then features significant contributions from none other than Garrett Neff and Noel Kirvin-Dows. The former revisits his Calvin Klein Underwear campaign days under a subject heading aptly titled “Beauty.” The latter masters an outerwear section in four parts called “Volume.” The study concludes with a nod to the future and features Garrett wearing a look from the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2014 collection. Beauty at volume, Garrett and Noel do the utmost to see Collier Schorr’s proposal accepted.
